Danville Summerfest 2020 is Cancelled!
We take the health and well-being of our community, members, and associates very seriously. Like you, we're closely monitoring the quickly developing and ever-changing effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
To help prevent the spread of the virus and promote the health and safety of our community, we have come to the inevitable decision to cancel our beloved SummerFest, originally scheduled for June 13-14.
Brought to you by the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce, Danville Summerfest draws families from all over the San Ramon Valley and beyond. Danville is a family-friendly, dog-friendly community. We have first class shopping and restaurants. There's always something going on in the Town! We have street fairs such as Summerfest and Fallfest, classic car shows, art events, plays and community concerts. Visit us to find out why the Town of Danville is a special place.
Keep your dog safe at Summerfest. Street asphalt can be extremely hot and quickly burn the soft pads on your dog's feet. Please take good care of your pet while attending the festival.
Speaking of Dogs . . .. Look for stragically placed Dogs of Danville Unleashed, part of a Town Public Art exhibition which features 15 fiberglass dog statues, each a life-size representation of a standing or sitting petite Labrador retriever.
Lost and Found is located at the Chamber Concierge Booth at Prospect and Hartz. Stop by and say "Hello". We can answer questions you may have about the Chamber, the Town or about Summerfest!
On Saturday, the Danville Youth Council (DYC) is hosting "Art on the Go" for kids on East Prospect. On Sunday, these awesome youth will judge and determine awards for the Classic Car Show competition. The mission of the DYC is to provide Middle and High School students the opportunity to represent the interests of their peers in the Danville area. They meet new people and interact with teens from around the Valley. To learn more about the DYC, click here.
Art and Artists! Summerfest features over 150 juried artisans from the western United States. Enjoy your favorite returning artists and the work of new artists in the jewelry, glass, ceramic, painting and photography categories. The technical and creative abilities of our fine artists are of the highest caliber. We hope fairgoers will find that special item for keeping or for giving away!
Families attending Danville Summerfest enjoy an emphasis on youth activities. This year, the children's areas will be located near School Street and Hartz. Pony Rides, Bungie Jumping and a Petting Zoo will entertain kids of all ages! On Saturday (only), visit the festival Fun Zone on East Prospect where you'll find three inflatable bounce houses as well as the KKIQ Interactive Game booth.
The Museum of the San Ramon Valley will run a train ride in the Faz Restaurant Parking Lot both Saturday and Sunday. Finally, be sure to check-out a popular hot spot with your little firefighter. San Ramon Valley Fire Dept will park a working fire engine at Hartz Ave and Church Street so kids and parents will have a chance to explore one up close.
Eat, Drink and be Entertained! Pouring their award winning brews will be Danville Brewery. Also joining us are Valerie and Scott Bigelow who will be pouring wines from the Boisset Collection’s prestigious terroirs. Finally, as in past years, we welcome back two popular chefs who will be preparing and serving cuisine ranging from Chicken Skewers to Tempura Fried Vegetables! Find them at the corner of Hartz and Church. We have a great lineup of musical entertainment this year. The Breedloves and John Archimede both return to Summerfest. Brooks Lundy performs on Saturday as well. On Sunday look for Danville's Village Theatre presenting music from their upcoming June 28th show The Jazz Room. Please see our Events and Entertainment page for event details.
The Classic Car Show shows off on Sunday with 40 of the coolest cars in the San Ramon Valley. This year's Car Show will be judged and awards determined by the Danville Youth Council (DYC).
Shopping! Danville is a town of world-class shopping! Our one-of-a-kind boutiques have a loyal following of fans from all over the San Francisco Bay Area. Merchants will be open during the event!
Danville Summerfest is brought to you by the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The Town of Danville.
